Six silk scarves with hand rolled edge finishes are manufactured in the image of Haute Couture production. Each of these squares bears a photographic motif made with a mobile phone. These patterns themselves are subdivided into four squares and screen printed, producing overlaps and gaps in the overall image.

Juliette Berger is interested in decorative ornaments and motifs. She uses repetition and dissolution, and the possible errors and disruptions that these imply to produce.
She uses a collection of photographs taken with a mobile phone and representing natural motifs, such as bushes, trees and forest views, to paint. The manipulation of these digital images (selection, cropping, distortion) builds her visual analysis.
The blurred nature of these images paradoxically magnifies reality, and the viewer‘s gaze is sharpened as the limits of legibility are strangely expanded.
